what kind of supernatural knowledge do i need? None! While we have pulled inspiration from multiple sources including books, tv shows, and movies, all that you need is to look over our species LORE and PREMISE and understand that this is a magical world where anything can happen! can i be *insert species here*? for the most part,the sky is the limit on supernatural creatures, and we don't want to stifle any creativity but we have a few topics we want to be careful with. we've created certain guidelines for what we consider the core five (vampires, werewolves, magic users, faeries, and daemons) and those can be found on our species page but we also welcome most any other creature not listed there, provided you can link us a as a note! we've tried our best to steer away from abrahamic religious interpretations of creatures, angels, demons, and the like, and instead have tried to go for a more mythological interpretation. we are not allowing however our daemons are not completely full of strife, instead being more based in greek mythology and more tricksters than pure evil, we are allowing for a broad interpretation of daemons on the whole. want to have more good aligned daemon that uses their powers for celestial good? please be our guest! we would be happy to work with you and to collaborate on ideas. are there supernatural versions of social media? yes! though humans are aware of supernatural existance, and the community at large is no longer trying to actively hide, they still want to keep certain aspects of themselves private, and versions of the more popular platforms have been created just for supernatural use. however, that doesn't stop a supernatural from using just regular old tinder if they want! concerning particular species In an effort to cultivate a safe writing space for all, there are a few extra species or sub-species that we have set certain guidelines in place for, including but not limited to succubi, incubi, cambion, and other creatures with a focus on sexual energies. more than anything else consent is key! can i play a human? of course you can! if you want to start out with a character as human and be turned into another creature, that's always a possiblity, or your character can remain human and just be a part of the supernatural world! can i play an evil character? any species can have a variety of alignments, goals, and backgrounds and playing as an "evil" character is allowed! just keep in mind that writers are allowed to choose that they might not want to interact with an evil-aligned character, and that is well within their rights! current members of the radiant dawn or so called right-hands of lucifer will not be allowed! |
